The Kyoto Animation arson attack (Japanese: 京都アニメーション放火殺人事件, Hepburn: Kyōto Animēshon hōka satsujin jiken, "Kyoto Animation arson murder case") occurred at Kyoto Animation's Studio 1 building in the Fushimi ward of Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, on the morning of 18 July 2019. The arson killed 36 people, injured an additional 34 (including the suspect), and destroyed most of the materials and computers in Studio 1. It is one of the deadliest massacres in Japan since the end of World War II, the deadliest building fire in Japan since the 2001 Myojo 56 building fire, and the first massacre ever to have occurred at a studio associated with an entertainment company, and the animation industry.

the combination of half naked chest half kimono, wich makes it hot but also noble, the creaking of the string beeing drawn with strengh, the light shifts, the calm focus on his face, the silence with birdsounds far away.... and then the complete nothingsness shortly before the realeasing with it's phenomenal sound!

lol... I'm so glad I'm not the only one fangirling over his kyudo form. For me its all about the lines and how elegant they are. Neck, shoulder, arm curves in direct contrast to straight arrow and bow string... some really great illustration there!

hihi. oh yes btw. the lines and angles of the bow and arrow and the combination with the bodyposture are not only important to shoot good it also has an aesthetic point. for me the perfect combination of use, aesthetic and mind is what makes kyudo special. but i guess it's the same with other martial arts.

i may not be able to understand all the fine points of kyudo, but as someone who enjoys painting and drawing anatomy I can appreciate the aesthetic :)
